It is the thermal capacity that regulates the body temperature during sleep. Various studies have shown that exactly this leads to significantly more deep sleep.
Technogel® is a dense material (like water approx. 1000kg/m3). This distinguishes it from other materials that contain air such as flexible foam, latex or memory foam. This density allows Technogel® to absorb heat rather than reflect it like a foam. This heat storage capacity can be calculated and measured by the thermal capacity in kJ. (4.18 kJ = 1 kcal)The amount of gel determines how much heat can be stored. Heat is also transferred from the warmer to the colder body if there is a temperature difference between the two bodies. By releasing heat, we reduce our core temperature and Technogel® helps by absorbing the excess heat rather than reflecting it like a foam.
This is especially important as our body emits approximately 2160kJ of heat/energy during sleep.
Tests have shown that Technogel mattresses maintain a lower temperature during the night than foam mattresses because they can store heat. This does not mean that Technogel® is a cold material, but that it delays the point at which the mattress reaches the body temperature level for up to 6-10 hours.
An important fact, as we may begin to sweat from reflected heat, this also stimulates the metabolism and disturbs sleep.

The body temperature remains normal and the heat is not dissipated from the foam on the right. A heat accumulation occurs under the body.
